MISSION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All DepEd libraries aim to empower and bestow leadership to learners, teachers, librarians, and school stakeholders <\/strong>in choosing, gaining, storing, accessing, and making supplementary learning resources available to create a place for reading, discovery, and collaboration. DepEd libraries are committed to make an impact in building a learning community <\/strong>where school stakeholders engage one another to participate in and contribute to their learning and growth and achieve the objectives of the K to 12 Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VISION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

All DepEd libraries shall be transformed <\/strong>as fully functional places<\/strong> for reading<\/strong>, discovery<\/strong>, and collaboration<\/strong> to contribute significantly in attaining the objectives of the K to 12 Program <\/strong>and reaching greater level of learning achievement <\/strong>through stakeholders\u2019 shared engagement<\/strong> in school library establishment, improvement, and operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is LRMDS<\/strong>?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

The LRMDS <\/strong>is a web based catalogue and repository of learning, teaching and professional development resources. It functions as a clearinghouse. That is, the LRMDS provides information about the location of resources (hardcopy and softcopy) and allows users of the system to access directly digitized versions of resources that are published and stored within the LRMDS repository. It is also a quality assurance system providing support to DepED Regions, Divisions and Schools in the selection and acquisition of quality digital and non\u00addigital resources in response to identified local educational needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LRMDS Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

The LRMDS is designed to achieve the following objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Strengthened Learning Resource development and distribution systems at Regional and Division levels.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Improvement of instructional and learning materials system through support for the assessment, acquisition, adaptation, development, production and distribution of teaching\/learning materials to schools.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Digitized available student learning materials (including from PASMEP, PROBE, PRODED, BEAM,
    TEEP, SEDIP, etc), particularly for reading in the early grades and TLE programs, English, Science and Mathematics in other grades, ADM and ALS.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Enhanced provisions of quality instructional and learning materials, particularly in reading in early grades and TLE, English, Science and Mathematics in other grades.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Modified and enhanced instructional and learning materials for implementing Alternative Delivery Modes and Learning Systems.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Improved development and utilization of Quality Assurance (including Monitoring and Evaluation) systems for provision and utilization of learning resources.
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Development of ICT\u00ad enabled solutions in the three regions, integrated with national systems, to support the strengthening of the learning resource support systems.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
